About Us

Cornerstones is focused on helping and encouraging young people aged between 16-21 who have emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties to function independently and to lead positive lives in society.

Our aim is to offer accommodation and support to Young People who require extra support to reach their full potential in a safe, positive and caring environment by employing a caring team of professional and passionate individuals as well as adopting proven and engaging programs. Our talented team have experience in working with challenging and vulnerable young people.

The well-being of each of our young people is paramount to us and with this in mind; we provide comfortable living environments of solo and shared accommodation. Young people placed with us are introduced to self-sufficiency and independent programmes such as monetary budgets, health, education, employment and dietary awareness, we believe these are valuable. We promote self-sufficiency and independence through one to one support, guidance and mentoring.

Our Workforce

All our Support Workers are qualified to NVQ Level 3/ Health and Social Care or working towards an equivalent qualification.

Cornerstones staff receive on going comprehensive training in all relevant areas so to meet daily needs our young people.

All staff have undergone an Enhanced DBS checks, medical and reference checks.

Aims and objectives

  • To provide high quality accommodation in safer communities which enable young people to feel valued.
  • Provide a versatile semi-independent programme, offending behaviour and community interventions to young people aged 16+
  • Help young people to make the most of their potential for a better integration into the community.
  • To support young people achieve a quality life style through young people led assessment, engagement and management of needs.
  • To work jointly as part of multi-agency with other organisations which provide mentoring, education and employment.
